Micelles are made up of molecules with a hydrophilic (water-loving) "head" and a hydrophobic (water-hating) "tail". These molecules tend to group together so that the tails are away from the water and the heads circle while in contact with the water. The tails will then travel through the dirt.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
The cleansing actives work individually to cleanse the skin. To remove all the dirt you have to rub, risking that the skin gets irritated.
The micelles act like magnets that attract impurities in one delicate gesture - without rubbing.
The impurities are captured inside the micelles!
The aqueous solution that contains them drags them away gently.
